The EDCS database is the world's most important digital instrument for epigraphic research. With 765'501 data records, it achieves the most extensive indexing of inscribed monuments from Antiquity and provides (through various search functions) access to Latin inscriptions, to their localities and provinces, and to publications and photos. In addition, 25 more smaller databases are accessible through the EDCS. these secure the status of the EDCS as the world's leading research tool in classical studies.
